You came in like some vagabond smelling of the sun and got stuck in my head every ballad by Dylan you crossed my mind and we crossed paths at just the perfect time to watch from my rooftop a blue moon on the rise blue moon blue moon you brought with you the traces of a life lived on the run the same old shirt from yesterday perhaps your only one I wish you'd stayed a few more hours to sing your travelin' songs but oh I knew when you walked in you wouldn't be stayin' very long blue moon goodbye blue moon your skin it had a glow about it eyes that were so kind the rough hands of a travelin' man with turquoise on his mind you left me in the mornin' with my coffee feelin' so alive you looked up to the balcony and blew a kiss goodbye goodbye blue moon goodbye blue moon goodbye blue moon.

You're beautiful across the room I knew you felt the pull we're strangers hangin' onto fraying rope you didn't fail to meet my every hope now you're making your way off to Boston like you were in the rain of that mornin' like you were in the rain of that mornin' When you came my way there wasn't time enough for me to say how I'd lost an earring under stars and smoke you unrelenting in your gentle hold Now you're making your way back to Oregon like you were in the rain of that mornin' Now you're making your way back to Oregon like you were in the rain of that mornin'.

Pretty Boy 02:27
How many, how many, how many ways can you use me baby? how many how many ways can you show me that you don't care? just a kiss another night like this to fool me baby how many ways can you show me that you don't love me? how many, how many, how many ways can you woo me baby you show me glimpses of a man I want to tame but how many, how many times can you bat those eyelashes and run? without your looks I swear nobody would remember your name you drew the line and crossed it in kind like you do baby how many, how many, how many times can you slip right out my door? I fell for you more than once but I'll tel you the truth baby, I don't care if i see your pretty face anymore without your looks I swear nobody would remember your name, pretty boy.

This is what it's like to sit alone on the kitchen floor this is what it's like to have nothin' anymore this is what it's like to live life this is what it's like this is what it's like this is what it's like to sit alone on the kitchen floor this is what its like to stare into the storm this is what it's like just a candle and my hands this is what it's like to rewrite my life without a man oh how I'm trying oh how I'm trying to live life this is what it's like to feel like Jason Anderson this is what its like to be understood by one this is what it's like alone at night to live life oh how I'm trying oh how I'm trying to live life oh how I'm trying oh how I'm trying to rewrite hold each other close like this is all you have hold each other close like this is all you have this is all you have to live life.

No man ever protected this heart but checked in long enough to make me feel what was missin' when I say I love you it'll be with everything, now wouldn't you say I'm deserving of the same? 'cause I can't waste all this love on myself I've got to give it up for somebody else that's how it works with me I'll show you if you wanna see I'm just supposed to believe that I'm worthy of lovin' that when a man walks away I know he's leavin' with nothin' 'cause I can't waste all this love on myself I've got to give it up for somebody else that's how it works with me I'll show you if you wanna see I'm just supposed to believe that I'm worthy of lovin' that when a man walks away I know he's leavin' with nothin' No man ever protected this heart but checked in long enough to make me feel what was missin' when I say I love you it'll be with everything now wouldn't you say I'm deserving of the same? 'cause I can't waste all this love on myself I've got to give it up for somebody else that's how it works with me I'll show you if you wanna see I'm just supposed to believe that I'm worthy of lovin' that when a man walks away I know he's leavin' with nothin'.

Christmas 01:38
I've lied through my teeth to people who I felt I couldn't trust which was everyone and even myself but I'll be okay to love you from far away cuz you of all people deserve this song just for the person I know you are it's Christmas and I thought by now I'd be over you like the moon but I fell like snow back into your arms so much the same apart from how distance has made us estranged but you are still welcome inside this heart.
7.
Don't know why I trust you but I do Please don't run away when I sing to you Said that you were scared when you heard he'd left me there But I only see the good in you I only see the good in you Ya know I tried to fight you with my mind Heart already broke, but I survived So I'll give in to now though the loss will come around Cuz I only see the good in you I only see the good in you I guess what we see is what we choose What made you come out with the truth? Tryin' not to hold you in my heart like I wanted to Should I be afraid of this perfect mess I've made? Cuz I only see the good in you I only see the good in you I only see the good in you I only see the good in you.

Jesse says hey man it's just like Wyoming there aren't any mountains but I hear a phone ring we watch the moon rise and Jason likes lemons but right now it's almost like bein' in heaven When Cella sails away always someone sails away Hey man don't worry I'll be back tomorrow you tell me your problems I'll borrow that sorrow cuz you taught me to feel here to laugh hard at Dylan and there's no escapin' unless I go swimmin' When Cella sails away always someone sails away and I'd like to remember all of your names but we all will sail away well it's hard to tell if there's clouds or just skyline let's not decipher the starlight from fireflies OOOOooooooo when someone sails away We all will sail away.
9.
Words are better written down because when you say them out loud no one knows if you mean them but I mean his now it's not a lie I can't give up so I'll get high off someone else's words when I read them I hope I become something I believe in Yeah, I hope I become something I believe in laying in the dark sometimes I feel my eyes and they're still dry I hope they say that way everyday that I keep breathin' I found my lights were best turned off at night to see those sparkling kites in flight and wonder if there's sky if there's a reason I hope I become something I believe in I hope I become something I believe in I'll shut my mouth but not the door and tell you one more thing before you walk away cuz I'm afraid you're leavin' And I've started off to find myself but before goodbyes above all else I hope you know you're one thing I believe in.

about

This is Hannah Peckham's first full-length album debuting as herself. Formerly known under the stage name Hagab the Grasshopper, Hannah has come into her own with seven new songs on her original compilation, "Goodbye Blue Moon". These previously unreleased tracks are heartfelt, raw odes to those experiences that help us grow into ourselves. They are longing, learning, love songs. They are lost and found songs.

Concluding "Goodbye Blue Moon" are two of Hannah's most known tracks, common around campfires and in crowded basements. These songs are dedicated to all those who have listened to and supported Hannah throughout the many years of her making as a musician. They are for the love of the past, and its lasting influence on the present and who we become. May these songs stick with you wherever you go - when and wherever you become something you believe in. "Goodbye Blue Moon" is Hannah Peckham doing just that.
